Felicia Jackson
About me
Hi, my name is Felicia Jackson and I am a therapist in Atlanta, Georgia. In my practice, I provide short- and long-term, evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety disorders (including Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia), perfectionism and imposter syndrome. I primarily use evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy/Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and often integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my work. As your therapist, my goal is to tailor these therapies to your unique needs and provide you with new skills to reclaim your life from anxiety!
Training & experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University and went on to earn my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Stony Brook University (State University of New York). There I received extensive training in evidence-based treatments with adults, children and adolescents. I completed my clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where I received intensive training and experience in CBT, DBT and ACT in individuals with mood, anxiety and personality disorders. I went on to complete my clinical postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
