Here’s how our founder recovered from OCD, and then created the Impulse Therapy program that’s helped 1000s
The founder of Impulse – Jamal, suffered with OCD for 10 years. He thought that it would be impossible to rid himself of anxiety, intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. But he did! After much self-work, Jamal managed to get himself to a place where he could reliably manage all of his OCD symptoms, and get his life to where he wanted it to be.
However, he couldn’t do this alone…
Jamal met with a number of OCD therapists in an attempt to find the person to help him on his journey. Many of these therapists had no idea how to treat OCD, and in some cases completely invalidated the symptoms he was feeling.
Eventually, he found Mary. Mary is a psychotherapist who specializes in OCD; she understood exactly how Jamal was feeling, and explained that many felt exactly as he did now. This in itself was a revelation. He had no idea that so many others had felt and are feeling the way he is now, and better yet, overcame these symptoms.
This gave him hope!
Jamal worked with Mary each week, understanding his OCD, learning the techniques needed to keep his OCD at bay – and it worked! He learned how to perform exposures instead of performing compulsions, to remain unresponsive to intrusive thoughts, and to allow anxiety to gradually rise, fall and dissipate.Jamal was in the fortunate position to have access to and be able to afford in-person therapy, but he quickly became aware that millions of others couldn’t. Hence, Impulse was born.
Jamal wanted to create an online solution to OCD therapy, something that could fit everything that he learned (and more!) into an easily digestible, accessible and affordable program. He rounded up leading experts in the OCD therapy world, who put together the Impulse therapy program.
Impulse has now helped 1000s of people around the world overcome their OCD symptoms, and the same might just be possible for you!
How our program helped those who couldn’t access in-person OCD therapy
Super affordable
A single hour of in-person therapy with an OCD specialist starts at around $150 an hour. For most people across the world, this isn’t anywhere near affordable on a weekly basis. To help those who aren’t able to get in-person therapy, we’ve made our online program $62.99 – less than half price of an average hour of therapy.
Accessible to everyone
While in-person therapy is always advised for treating OCD, it isn’t always feasible. Many OCD sufferers are located in places where in-person therapy isn’t accessible, or what’s more likely; not affordable.
Complements in-person therapy
Our program is also very suitable for those already attending in-person therapy, who really want to accelerate their recovery. You’ll go in-depth into techniques and strategies that your therapist may specialize in, and perhaps discover techniques that they don’t yet practice.

What do our users have to say?
OCD doesn’t get better on it’s own
It’s an unfortunate thing to say, but OCD does not get better on its own. This disorder doesn’t pass by itself without treatment, if anything, it gets worse. Leaving OCD untreated with the hopes you’ll recover in time is a futile effort.
You have to take charge of your OCD. Take charge of your treatment. Even if you do not use our program, do not wait to get help for your OCD. Take action today!

Most therapists don’t know how to treat OCD
It’s a sad reality, but most therapists, counselors and even clinical psychologists do not know how to treat OCD. Some will even claim to have had experience with OCD, but will not know any of the intricacies of treating OCD.
We know OCD, and our course has been created specifically for treating OCD – not depression, or PTSD, or any other condition, just OCD.
Even if you don’t end up using our course – assess your therapists! Gauge how familiar they are with your compulsions and ask if they’ve encountered and treated obsessions like yours.
Taking charge of your recovery is how you’re going to recover from the debilitating effects of OCD.

FAQ’s
What is Impulse?
Impulse is an audio-based therapy course designed to help treat OCD. It was created as an alternative to in-person therapy which usually comes at a very high cost, and isn’t available to everyone.
Our sessions give you critical information, advice, and exercises that you can practice, to help you overcome OCD.
How do I know if I have OCD?
OCD is so much more than arranging your pencils neatly or washing your hands a few times a day. It’s a medical condition which, if left untreated, will continue to get worse.
To get an official diagnosis, you’d need to speak with a medical professional. However, most OCD sufferers are aware of their condition prior to their diagnoses.
The symptoms of OCD include:
- Recurring intrusive thoughts
- Major recurring bouts of anxiety
- Repetitive compulsive behaviors.
While everyone suffers from these symptoms from time to time, it’s the intensity and frequency that makes OCD different. If you feel you’re suffering from these symptoms on a daily basis, and it interferes with your everyday life – there is a high probability you’re suffering from OCD.
If you’d like a more extensive assessment, try our OCD test here.
Will this cure my OCD?

*Based on 436 users surveyed between September 2021 and February 2022. Users surveyed were those who completed the course.
How long does this take to work?
The course features 9 milestones, with over 60 audio sessions spread across them.
Users generally complete the course within 4-6 weeks, however most start seeing a reduction in symptoms well before then.
From the first session, we’ll begin equipping you with techniques and strategies to fight back against your OCD! Some users have reported a decrease in anxiety after completing the first five sessions.
Though we can’t promise any exact date for recovery, if you immerse yourself in the course and practice our techniques diligently – you will see a reduction in symptoms!
Can I use this while going to therapy?
Yes, definitely!
Attending in-person therapy while going through our course will help you to really accelerate your recovery. You’ll go in-depth into techniques and strategies that your therapist may specialize in, and perhaps discover techniques that they don’t yet practice.
Is this proven by doctors?

Our whole course is based on the ideas of leading psychiatrists and OCD specialists.
What does the “course of therapy” include?
The course of therapy includes audio sessions, each filled with information for you to understand your OCD, exercises that you can practice and techniques that you can use to fight back against your OCD.
I’ve tried everything. Why would this work?
We’ve seen countless OCD sufferers explain they have tried these techniques before, that they’re aware of all of the advice that we are giving them, and they may be right. However, what’s more important is the effective application and understanding of the techniques. We’ve made all of our concepts very easy to understand and easily integrated into everyday life
